Houston & Andrea: Engaged | Lincoln, North Dakota
Wedding & Engagement Photographer in Bismarck Area: Brittanyography
Houston & Andrea are engaged and I am already counting down the days until their wedding….
… it’s 393 days- in case you were wondering!
Classic Cars
One of the couple’s favorite past times is working on their classic automobiles. Each has their own classic with its own story.
Houston’s classic looks nothing like it did the day he purchased it, back in 2015. He’s made many modifications to the International. Well, t’s an International cab & truck chassis on a custom-built frame with a 5.3L twin-turbo LS1. Automobile, named LOOSY, sits two people- perfect for Houston & Andrea.
Andrea’s classic car is a 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS 327 . The car, which Andrea got from her dad, is special to the family. Andrea has worked hard to get the automobile running again and kept in tip-top shape. The car named MS. PEARL, will be in the family for generations!
Dirt Roads & Cottonwoods
The couple scouted their area for the perfect set of cottonwood trees- I think they found it! While we were traveling, I got to know why the couple chose me as their photographer. While at a wedding Andrea was in the bridal party, I snapped photos of the families close to the couple but not necessarily related.
Houston was pumped at the idea of having those photos in his wedding gallery. He was also grateful to have the photos since, at the time, it had been a while since their family had been professionally photographed.
I think it’s cool too, Houston! You can print the photos out and send them in your thank you cards. You can post them online and share them with the families.
North Dakota Agriculture: Corn & Sunflowers
The duo is just as enthralled with North Dakota agriculture as you and me- Houston helps on a farm on the weekends!
I’m a big fan of the leading lines corn makes, and the rows are spaced just far enough apart for two people snuggle in between.
And sunflowers, don’t get me started on sunflowers! I had no clue people grew them this far north in fields, but I guess many people do. Thank goodness, because they are gorgeous!
South 40 Events
Houston and Andrea will be saying “I Do” at South 40 Events, so it’s the perfect place to finish their engagement session! We stopped along the creek edge, by the cottonwoods for some romantic photos.
Circling the property, we stopped at different locations- all of which we will visit on their wedding day.
The last thing I learned about Andrea and Houston is that they are preparing for their wedding dance. The couple showed off their dance moves and then announced they were going to take classes before the wedding. I’m blown away and cannot wait for their big day to celebrate with them on the dance floor.
Everyone, bring your dancing shoes!
Thank you to Andrea and Houston, for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I’m glad we got to know each other over more at your engagement session. I can’t wait until the next time I see you! I’m counting down the days already ;)
