The Roaring 20's Party Hosted by Eclectic Wreck

Edit: 1/21/2020

My camera saves pictures in folders according to the date. Since the 20s party happened overnight, the photos were in two folders: 12282019 + 20292019.
I missed the second folder! I knew I had more images, so I went back to check. This is why you save everything. You never know what you might need.

Thankfully we don’t have to miss out on photos of the Eclectic Wreck’s Mason Dauwen, more dancing, or the silly duo of girls by the beverage coolers (Love ya, Olivia & Kim <3).

Silly me for missing them the first time! Enjoy <3

It’s Facebook official:

Get ready for the 2020's by heading down to Lemmon Legion Club for a Roaring 20's party on Dec. 28! Dress up in your finest 1920's style or just come and enjoy the fancy decor! Music by Eclectic Wreck starts at 9 pm!

Ya’ll know that I am a homebody. I love to stay in with joggers, a sweater, a hot cup of tea and all my kitties. My favorite thing to do is snuggle into Carson and watch our latest Media interest (currently Shameless Season 9) or play video games together. Oh? You didn’t know that? Yeah. Carson and I sit in the same room with headsets on, playing the same game, and talking through our headphones.

But we shed our headphones and dressed in our Roaring 20’s attire for the party. Carson was pretty strapping with his suspenders and pencil mustache. I was warm with a layer of black, a borrowed black flapper dress (thank you for lending it to me, Sarah!) and the warmest fur coat in my closet. We were worried the dress participation from the night would be low, but loads of others donned their 20’s attire as well.

I would love to list everyone that dressed up, but I’m still learning everyone’s names! I know Lemmon is pretty small, but it seems pretty big when I am trying to recognized faces, names and relations. Plus, people change. Sometime this year a friend cut his hair from past the shoulders to a buzz cut. I didn’t recognize him for at least fifteen minutes. So confused.

Eclectic Wreck provided live music and entertainment all night, even playing requests. This is the third time I’ve seen Eclectic Wreck play this year, and thanks to their involvement with the Placemakers Co-Op, I had an exclusive interview with the infamous Judy Larson about her accordion.

I found Rick at a music store and he’s taken on his own persona. He’s pretty flashy and I’m hoping one day someone will recognize him as the accordion their great uncle or grandpa played, so I can find out who he originally belonged to. It was popular back in the day to have last names emblazoned on accordions. So Rick might actually be the previous owner’s last name. For now we consider him to be like Cher and Beyonce— a one name wonder.

If you didn’t get the chance to see them at the party, check them out on youtube:

If we don’t have a place to stay in town, and a friend to drive us to that place; then only one of the Schnell’s to enjoy adult beverages for the night. Tonight that was Carson, so I planned on bringing my camera and taking pictures with my sober hands. Ya’ll, camera equipment is expensive, and like heavy machinery should not be operated on while under the influence.

I felt weird taking pictures of everyone though, so I mostly stuck to pictures of people that asked, people that were dancing, and the band. What are your thoughts on me bringing my camera? Would you feel uncomfortable having your photo taken? Please let me know!
