Individual Portraits
A group of my girlfriends got together for a witchy themed group photo session at the Schnell Ranch. (I was so excited that I dressed up and took pictures with them too). Some of these ladies I’ve known since high school and others I met the day of our photo session. Let me introduce them all to you:

I think everyone was surprised when I wanted to take individual portraits because we were there for the girl gang type of photos. Buttttt I love individual portraits. They are one of my favorite types of photos to take!
Friend Photos
I know we have a few groups of women that have been friends for a long time or have made a recent connection- so I thought it would be great to grab some pictures together.

-ENTERING CRITICAL REFLECTION MODE-
So, this was the first time I’ve ever photographed a group of women in a setting like this. Normally, the women I photograph in large groups are brides/bridesmaids- they have bouquets and long dresses that give their hands something to do.
Looking back, I noticed we had nothing to do with our hands. So, I think for future group sessions we need more props.
**Ok, we had some props, but I think it was too windy for our candles to stay lit!**
For this themed photo session, there are so many fun prop ideas: witch hats, capes, brooms, wands, cauldrons… so many possibilities!
-EXITING CRITICAL REFLECTION MODE-
My black cat, Poe joined us for a short while. His black coat and green eyes are perfect for our photoshoot!
Daisie had some leftover small smoke bombs from the celebrating Independence Day. They were the short burst bombs and were pretty hard to light, but we got a few to go off!

I learned a lot about photographing women in a group (without being in a wedding party/family) and had a good time. I laughed with old friends and made some new ones.
