Senior Sunflower Fun & Silly Photo | South Dakota Senior Photographer- Brittanyography
I have had an overwhelming amount of requests for sunflower photos and I am more than happy to oblige. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers to grow, admire and eat!
Abbie is on top of things- having already taken sports senior photos- so her sunflower session is all about her on the wild Dakota plains. We photographed almost her whole session at the Schnell Ranch- going from one location to the next in our ATV side by side.

We had a few photo ideas, starting with this 2021 photo collage. Here’s how we did it: Abbie brought the “0, 2 & 1” signs and I brought my tripod. Each time Abbie held up a new sign, we had her step over a bit. It’s important that she moves the same amount each time so she has even spacing in the photo. I’m here for the moody vibes coming from Abbie’s choke cherry tree photos. The dark leaves against her tan complexion is everything! It really makes her freckles and bright eyes pop!

Each outfit correlated with a different location- we made sure to pick out colors that would stand out from the background and really make Abbie pop. The sunflowers are in full bloom! Aren’t they gorgeous!?! Abbie paired the bright blossoms with a black dress and large floppy hat. I’ll definitely be using Abbie’s photos for my senior style guide because her outfits are on point!

We wrapped up Abbie’s session on the Cedar River. We started on the beach- and eventually, Abbie was full on laying in the water!! I did get to see Abbie again this month for Senior Lifeguard photos (coming soon!!!)
