Mini Sessions in May

Wow, I can not believe it has taken me so long to get these photos up online. In May I held Mini Sessions in Lemmon, SD.

Here’s the idea behind Mini Sessions: Potential clients can book a mini session at an incredibly low rate. In this case, the cost was $60 plus tax per session. Each session includes the following:

  • 20 edited images

  • Online Gallery

  • Personal Copyrights

  • 30 minute session

I don’t have any mini session days scheduled in the near future at this time. I host Mini Sessions with three or more clients. So, grab your friends and go in on a mini session day!

Judy Larson needed a head shot for the variety of situations she needs a professional head shot image. Judy is the Present of the Placemakers Co-Op, part of the Electic Wreck band, and a super mom. Judy is involved in so many community events, I fear I don’t know them all. She helped bring Energize SD to Lemmon. Judy and I spent a few days together at RuralX in Mitchell, SD. In that time I saw the tip of the iceberg. This woman is driven, excited, and involved.

Shasta Alexander also needed a head shot. Shasta, whom is also a part of the Placemakers Co-Op needed a head shot for her business, Shasta Marie Designs. Shasta owns and operates her design business out of the Lemmon area. She hosts classes, designs logos and other business media, and creates a variety of the cutest things with vinyl and screen printing. I have a set of white, grey and black kitchen dish towels that are just the cutest! The say sassy things like “Alexa, order wine” and “Alexa, do the dishes.” You can see more of Shasta’s products on her Instagram page.

During wedding days, I typically only have about half an hour to take couples photos. Thus I’ve become very quick and efficient at this type of photography. When I heard Kim and Skylor were engaged, I knew I had to talk them into using a mini session as their engagement session and I’m so glad they said yes.

Kim and Skylor each had beautiful, long hair that was whipping in the air the whole time we were together. I loved the reflection of their wild love for each other in their hair. I think it brings an extra level to their images.

Since taking these images, I have become closer friends with everyone photographed. I’m overjoyed that my job can bring me closer to individuals in my community.

Thanks for listening to me recount the past.

XOXO
