Couple Exchange Rings in a Country Hideaway

On June 21, 2019 Andrew and Elizabeth exchanged vows at Country Celebrations in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple’s friends and family gathered around to witness the occasion. Jan Christianson of Presbyterian United Church of Christ officiated the ceremony. The Reception was EM’ed by DJ (and dear friend) Jeffrey Umberger of Complete Weddings and Events. My sidekick for the day was Spencer Larson, also on the Complete Team. Spencer, Jeff and I had a blast providing and documenting the entertainment from the evening. Sneaky’s Chicken of Sioux City, Iowa serviced the meal.

Andrew and Elizabeth met more than six years ago at a track meet Andrew’s sophomore year of high school. The couple quickly fell in love, doing many activities together such as prom, farming, and shopping at the mall.

The wedding was full of special traditions such as baking nearly 3,000 cookies for the reception or having a first look with dad. Dad in particular was a fountain of tears when he saw his baby girl.

During the reception, Jeff teamed up with three of the four groomsmen )and the groom’s brothers to raise funds for the couple’s honeymoon. After raising two hundred and fifty dollars cash each, the men shaved their beards off. You can find a video here.
