Christmas Family Photos 2019: Olivia, Harper & Jude

It’s Christmas time!!! You know what that means, Christmas FAMILY PHOTOS!!!

Kicking off this Christmas season is Olivia, Harper, and Jude. We hopped around the ranch form spot to spot. Our first spot: the river crossing.

We next moved to one of the tallest trees in the county. Pro tip: for glittery, buttery backgrounds- shoot with the sun peeking through tree branches with your subject closer to you than the tree. Shoot with a wide aperture and focus on the eyes of your subject!

I got a bit of snow on my camera lens. It added a neat, vintage effect to the images that I’m very happy with.

Next time I photograph two people close together like Olivia and Harper are, I will close my aperture down a few stops to bring both of their eyes in focus.

We wanted to use the hills as a backdrop in the next set of images. Jude’s red slippers kept falling off, so we get a sneak peek of his cute little feet!

Harper wanted to see our unicorn. Upon inspection, we noted that Dutch has not grown his horn yet this year. I’ll keep you guys updated if/when he spouts one!

Guest appearance of Carson Schnell. He’s a rare sight in these parts.

I couldn’t give up this opportunity to grab a few updated portraits of Olivia. We were playing with new angles and prompts.

I still have a few days available before Christmas. Use code Olivia40 for both you and Olivia to get $40 off your session!
