Winter Family Portraits: Beer Family Edition
The Holiday is the perfect time to snap family photos! Everyone is together, in the same place, at the same time!
The Beer Family got together this Christmas, so things were perfect!
Family? Check
Dogs? Check
Let’s take some pictures! We had one stop planned- a cute little barn and grove of trees on the Beer’s family land. The trees we knurly, growing at all sorts of strange angles- and they were covered in snow. The puppies were super excited. It’s no surprise to me that they behaved the best at the end of our photo session.
Whole family photos, small groups, duos, and single portraits can happen super quick when it’s cold outside. Everyone was freezing- although it was a warm 25F outside… can you tell I'm joking?
A short ride down to my favorite backdrop, an evergreen. The Beers had a couple of very tall evergreens with a coat of frost on one side. Stunning. Personally, the photos from the spot are my absolute favorite.
By this time we were only halfway through our 90-minute photo session but had all the photos we needed. I wanted one more location, so I convinced everyone to stop on the gravel road on the way out. A few snapshots with the 85 1.8 and we’ve got pure country magic. I mean, look- there’s even horses and dogs in the photo. Edit: I realized you actually can’t really tell there are horses in the photo. Do you see that brown and white smudges on the far left hand side of the image? Those are horses.
Thank you, Jackie, for choosing me as your family photographer.
